Morning set the tone for the entire day. It matter a lot how you start your day. As a student you must have a stress free morning routine to have a focused and productive school day. A good morning routine is the one that is stress free and it makes you feel more focused, energized, and motivated to have a productive day.

Let’s address the issue, it’s tough to follow a morning routine. I used to struggle to keep up with my morning routine, but eventually if we will be a habit if you keep on doing it. It does not matter whether you’re a morning person or not, it’s important to have a routine that promotes wellness.

Here is why a morning routine important?

A morning routine sets the tone for the entire day. Following are some of the benefits of having a morning routine:

  • You will be more relaxed and will make the most out of your morning hours once there is a routine. There won’t be unnecessary chaos or confusion.
  • The biggest advantage of having a set routine is “Less Stress” because you already know what to do and what to expect.
  • A sense of achievement comes when you finish a morning routine. It helps you kick start your day with a positive mindset which will help you for the entire day.

A Stress-Free Morning Routine for Students

We have break it down into two parts, discussed below.

Part 1: The Night Before

Yes, start planning for the next day on the night before. Here is what you need to do:

  • Pack your school bag: Pack your bag in the night only. Pack it up with essential books, laptop, notes, or anything else that you may need. You may forget to carry important things if you pack your bag in the morning because you’re in a rush.
  • Do keep a check on the weather forecast and plan your outfit accordingly. Pack an umbrella if a weather is rainy.
  • Make sure to charge your mobile phone, laptop, tablet, etc
  • Choose an outfit depending on the tomorrow’s weather condition. You may put clothes aside so you know what to wear on the next morning.
  • If you have a hard time walking up on time in the morning then set an Alarm for yourself. It’s advised to use those old digital clocks for alarm and put it out of your reach. Avoid using mobile phone for alarm because you may end up hitting snooze again and again.
  • The whole point of doing a few things in the night before is to relaxed morning routine. Read below for the second part of this routine.

Part Two: The Morning

  • Wake up when the Alarm is buzzin. Refrain from snoozing it.
  • It’s time to get freshen up, wash your face, or take a shower.
  • Take a few minutes out to make your bed. Making your bed is one task done for a day. You will feel more motivated once you have these small tasks done in a day.
  • Do a few minute of exercise i.e. stretch a bot, meditate, or do yoga. Do any exercise that you like or that suits your body.
  • You already have your clothes ready so get dressed. We did the preparation last night, now you won’t have to think what to wear, etc.
  • Breakfast is very important so make sure to have it. Breakfast keeps you energized for the days, have a protein-and-carb rich breakfast.
  • If you have a few extra minutes, you may even take your dog for a small walk, or feed the cat, etc. It’s better to do these small activities rather than watching TV or scrolling reels.
  • Check your hair, brush them in a way you like it.
  • Now you’re all set to go, grab your bag which you packed the night before. Time to head over to the school.

That’s it! Isn’t it simple? Your morning routine will be very simple and stress free once you have done the preparations on the night before.
